Leadership Team

Jeffrey sees himself primarily as a missionary/teacher. For over 20 years he has been teaching and preaching in some hard to reach places. A graduate of Rice University where he played collegiate golf, Jeffrey has utilized his golf career as a platform to share the message of Jesus around the globe. As President of Links Players International (LPI), he has seen LPI grow to over 200 fellowships across the country and overseas. Jeffrey played events on the PGA Tour, European Tour and even a major as recently as 2006. He also served as a PGA Professional at some well known clubs around the country (The Vintage Club in Indian Wells, California and The Maroon Creek Club in Aspen, Colorado, among others).  In addition to serving as the President of Links Players International, Jeffrey also serves on the board of Israel College of the Bible. ICB is the largest Bible college in the Middle East, with a powerful reach into Israel and beyond with www.imetmessiah.com and www.oneforisrael.org.

After years of itinerant ministry, Jeffrey agreed to lead the Church at the Red Door as an outgrowth of the LPI ministry. He has been married to his wife Laura for more than 25 years and they have three daughters – Savana, Tatum and Tess.

Paul and his wife of 30 years, Dr. Mary Berst, have served in ministry together for over 20 years in the Coachella Valley.  Paul began serving our Lord in the youth ministry at Southwest Community Church.  Shortly after becoming a pastor, he launched Southwest’s first satellite church. As the years went by Paul became part of a team to launch a startup church as a shepherding pastor, where he later became the senior pastor. He served faithfully for 14 years in that position, and Paul has since been called to the position of associate pastor Church at the Red Door.  Paul is a graduate of Biola University with a Bachelor in Organizational Leadership.

Randy and his wife, Jacque, moved to the Coachella Valley in 2005 from Orange County upon Randy’s retirement from the business world.    Randy spent the majority of his career as a leader in the information systems industry including positions with one of the largest billing companies in the country.  He and his wife have been married for over 50 years and have three grandchildren.  Both Randy and his wife grew up in the Midwest and have been celebrating a walk with the Lord for the past 30 years.  His passion and dream of being a writer and producer of Christian-based films brought us two short films:  “The Crimson Door” and “To Love Again.”  Randy graciously provided the Church at the Red Door with his expertise in setting up the audio/visual portion of our ministry, as well as spearheading the emergency operations for the church.  In May 2017, Randy heeded the call of the Lord and agreed to be our executive pastor.  Randy and his wife are excited to be part of the Church at the Red Door and part of God’s plan for changing lives in the Coachella Valley.
